Azerbaijan Airlines and Airbus have reached a preliminary agreement on the renewal of the existing fleet by 2030. Airbus will supply up to 20 A320neo and A321neos, instead of the current A319s and A320s. The parties – represented by the President of AZAL, Jahangir Asgarov and Sergey Nedbaylo, Regional Sales Director for Eastern & Northern Europe of Airbus Group – tentatively agreed to prepare proposals for the acquisition of these aircraft, which will subsequently be submitted for consideration by the Supervisory Board of “Azerbaijan Airlines” CJSC and “Azerbaijan Investment Holding”.
