AZAL Azerbaijan Airlines has delayed the delivery of its two B787-8s to Spring 2015. The aircraft were to have arrived in July and December respectively, but local media reports that one of the airframes has now been placed into storage. The assembly of the other, scheduled to begin in Charleston in September, is still tentatively set to go ahead.AZAL initially stated it would use the B787s on its maiden New York JFK services that were set to launch on September 24th, however this service will be operated by the airline’s A340-500s.
