Austrian enters wet lease cooperation with Braathens Regional

Austrian Airlines has entered into a new agreement with Braathens Regional Airlines (BRA) to begin in summer 2024. The regional airline will operate on selected routes on behalf of Austrian Airlines to facilitate better connectivity of certain regional routes to the Vienna hub.  “On certain regional routes, demand has not fully returned after the pandemic,” said CCO Michael Trestl. “To continue connecting these routes to our Vienna hub in the future, we need adjusted capacity structures.
