The two-hour stoppage from 9:00 a.m. on Wednesday July 1 will affect all flights at all Australian international airports. The strike was caused by the Federal government move to cut some pay conditions which would see staff lose up to 8,000 Australian dollars a year while not receiving a general pay rise, according to their Community and Public Sector Union. The union warns people to expect disruptions also at seaports where cruise ships arrive and depart.
