Aeroflot new Far East subsidiary Aurora Airline is set to commence operations by the end of this week. The new airline, which is 51% owned by Aeroflot and 49% by the Sakhalin regional government, has received its first of four A319s from Aeroflot. It is expected to take delivery of two A319s/A320s early next year. It has plans to grow its fleet to 40 aircraft and incorporate Q300, Q400 and DHC-6 Twin Otter aircraft as it expands it destinations from 30 to 128.
