Asiana Airlines is resuming its international network to Philippines with daily Incheon-Clark service as a part of its network expansion. The airline had suspended this route due to slow down in travel demand. The flights will commence in June and will be in addition to its existing services to Cebu and Manilla. Despite posting an operating profit of approximately KRW166.82 billion the airline’s net losses increased to approximately KRW54.36 billion compared to KRW46.55 billion in the Q1 of 2022. The airline attributed this mainly to the weakening of the currency that pushed up jet fuel prices, maintenance, and other airport-related costs.
