American Airlines offers first New York – Tokyo route

American Airlines will launch a summer service between New York’s JFK and Tokyo’s Haneda Airport starting from June 28, becoming the first airline to offer a direct service between the two cities. “This new service will complement flights offered by our joint business partner, Japan Airlines, giving more ways for our customers [to] travel between the US and Japan,” said American senior vice president of network and schedule planning Brian Znotins.
