Alaska Airlines has topped the rankings for the best on-time rating for U.S. carriers in July, narrowly beating Hawaiian Airlines. Some 89.4% of Alaska flights arrived within 14 minute of schedule, while only 63.3% of flights on Frontier were on time, which ranked 12th. July was highest monthly number of long delays in more than a year, according to statistics from the US Department of Transportation. Some 75.2% of flights on the 12 largest U.S. airlines were on-time during July, which is down from 78% in June and 78.1% in July 2015. The transportation department said it received 1,963 complaints
