The airspace in Niger is currently closed following a military coup leading to multiple flight diversions and cancellations adding to passenger and airline woes. The schedules of some airlines like Kenya Airways remain unaffected while some others like British Airways and Air France have to amend their flight schedules and suspend their flights to Niger and its neighbouring countries. Niamey Diori Hamani International Airport (NIM) is the country’s main hub, handling most of its commercial flights.
