Flag carrier Air Serbia’s first Belgrade-Naples flight took off across the Adriatic Sea on May 19. The twice-weekly route opened as scheduled, despite concerns about strikes at Italian airports that saw Air Serbia the day before announcing possible delays or cancellations. Those warnings were issued before the strikes were postponed due to deadly flooding in the Emilia-Romagna region, where 11 people have been killed in the disaster. The Italian government thanked the unions involved for putting back the strikes, which are to take place the weekend of June 2.
