Air Leap Aviation enters reconstruction

Swedish company, Air Leap Aviation, has entered reconstruction and cancelled all scheduled flights from 24 January 2022. The board stated that the decision was taken to enter restructuring because it was no longer “financially justifiable to continue” under current market conditions. “[Translation] The company has kept the operation going for the last two years during covid-19 with limited support from the public sector in Sweden. Air Leap has provided and maintained important infrastructure during the pandemic, which we believe should have been given more support when considering the extensive restrictions that our industry has experienced.”
