Aeromexico axes Monterrey- Guadalajara route for the entire year

Aeromexico has permanently removed flights between Monterrey International Airport (MTY) and Guadalajara International (GDL) for the remainder of the year, as per Cirium data. Aeromexico offered 74 weekly flights between the two domestic destinations. Without giving any reason, Aeromexico stopped flying the route between Monterrey and Guadalajara since March 2023. Meanwhile experts believe that as Aeromexico’s presence on this route was half of what Viva Aerobus and Volaris, the airline withdrew from the route to cut losses. Viva Aerobus flies 150 monthly services between these two cities and Volaris 120 monthly flights, together offering 110,676 seats.
