Greek carrier Aegean said its passenger traffic increased by 72% year-on-year in the first quarter of 2023, with the 2.6 million passengers recorded up by 5% “compared to pre-pandemic 2019”. International traffic  from Athens and Thessaloniki was up 17% compared to 2019, the carrier added, after six routes were added during the winter season. “Enhancing and extending the winter season is always at the forefront of our commitment to the company and the country. We are particularly pleased that our investment in more destinations in the low season has brought a significant increase in passengers with even higher capacity,” said
