On April 30, the PW1100G-powered A320neo (MSN6101) was impacted by a bird strike, according to a video released on social media.  Airbus has stated to the media that, “this type of occurrence (i.e. flames) sometimes does happen during testing at high-power levels,” and that the event “will not have any effect on the program”.
