EUROPE SAFETY WATCHDOG SAYS SOLUTION WILL BE FOUND INTO A380 ENGINE FAILURE

The European Aviation Safety Agency has stated that it is monitoring the investigation into the Qantas A380 engine failure last week and will act decisively if it reveals any safety risks.

Any problems identified by the probe and the EASA will issue an airworthiness directive for all airlines operating that type of engine. The agency has already issued orders twice this year advising airlines about extra inspections or repairs needed to deal with problems with the Rolls-Royce Trent 900 engines.
