KINGFISHER AIRLINES TO RESTRUCTURE DEBT

Analysts have warned Kingfisher Airlines that it should guard against adding fresh debt and losing senior executives despite the restructuring of its Rs.7,000 crore debt having been approved by the Reserve Bank of India. SBI Capital Markets is restructuring part of the debt.

The debt recast has been described as “critical for the future of Kingfisher Airlines” and that the airline “needs a more competitive cost position” to succeed.
