TWA flight attendants return to work

Some 211 Trans World Airlines flight attendants have been recalled. The attendants were placed on furlough following the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks. American Airlines bought TWA just months before 9/11. The airline said that the recall of former TWA attendants would “ensure we remain adequately staffed throughout this [bankruptcy] process.”
