Gambia Bird Airlines suspends West African routes due to Ebola outbreak

Gambia Bird Airlines has temporarily suspended services to and from Liberia and Sierra Leone, from 15th August until 31st August 2014.

The airline stated that the suspension is a response to international concerns over the ongoing outbreak of the Ebola virus in the region.

Gambia Bird Airlines had already suspended all flights to and from Lagos, after the Nigerian authorities banned the airline from operating to the country.

The airline’s other services within the region and to and from Europe remain unaffected.
