Alaska Air Group reports July 2018 operational results

Alaska Air Group, comprised of Alaska Airlines and Virgin America, as well as regional carriers Horizon Air, SkyWest Airlines and Peninsula Airlines, reports combined traffic in July 2018 up by 7.6% to 5.236 million revenue passenger miles (RPM) on a 6.8% increase in capacity to 5.969 million available seat miles (ASM) compared to July 2017. The combined load factor increased 0.7 percentage points to 87.7%.

Mainline carriers, Alaska Airlines and Virgin America, reported a 6.7% increase in traffic to 4.785 RPMs on a 5.7% increase in capacity to 5.420 million ASMs compared to July 2017. Load factor increased 0.9 points to 88.3%. The mainline carrier also reported 82.9% of its flights arrived on time in July 2018, compared to 83.1% reported in July 2017.

Regional traffic increased 19% on an 18.8% increase in capacity compared to July 2017. Load factor increased 0.2 points to 82.2%. Alaska’s regional partners also reported 86% of its flights arrived on time in July 2018, compared to 82.9% in July 2017.
