Passengers departing London Gatwick have complained of long delays and near-misses catching flights due to a breakdown of the airport’s check-in machines. The outage was reported on March 26 as the airport warned on its social media accounts that passengers should “be prepared for some delays at check-in, due to a technical issue affecting our self service bag drop machines”. The airport said it was  “working with the supplier to rectify this as soon as possible” but advised passengers to “please contact your airline with any queries”.
