Delhi International Airport plans to enable digital facial recognition technology, DigiYatra, at most of its entry and boarding gates by the end of March 2023. The DigiYatra technology allows seamless and paperless passenger check-in through various checkpoints through facial recognition. To use this facility, passengers are required to download the DigiYatra app and have to register using the credential of their Adhaar Card – a unique identification number that stores a person’s fingerprints and iris scans.
