LATAM Cargo announces joint SAF purchase for Mother’s Day

LATAM Cargo, Kuehne+Nagel and Elite Flower have announced a joint purchase of 25,000 litres of sustainable aviation fuel (SAF). Linking the purchase to Mother’s Day in the Americas, the trio said the SAF was made from used cooking oil and represented the amount needed to “reduce the equivalent of the total emissions generated by a cargo flight on the Bogota-Miami route, carrying a large shipment of flowers, mainly roses”. “This purchase is in line with this objective as it allows us to continue moving forward with our SAF agenda.
