ST Engineering AirX has announced a strategic partner with global leader in the testing, inspection and certification industry Bureau Vertias to advance Wing-in-Ground (WIG) technology, focussing on the classification and certification of AirX’s AirFish WIG craft. AirX is a joint venture between ST Engineering and Peluca. The ten-seat Airfish is designed to operate just above the surface of the water, using ground-effect-generated aerodynamic forces to lift the vessel and achieve a more fuel-efficient high speed of travel. The two partners will work to classify and certify the Airfish 8 (using Bureau Veritas’ N1525 process) and will liase with other states
