Singapore Airlines has selected the Rolls-Royce Trent 1000 engine to power 30 Boeing 787-10Xs for delivery from the 2018/19 financial year. The engine was selected from among two competing models available for the aircraft, following a detailed evaluation of offers. Singapore Airlines has also signed a letter of intent with Rolls-Royce for a TotalCare services package. Under the comprehensive support agreement, Rolls-Royce will be responsible for the provision of maintenance, repair and overhaul services for the engines, as well as for spare engine support.
