Umeco has announced that the formation of its Chinese joint venture company, Shanghai Umeco Composites on September 21, 2010, has been approved by the Chinese authorities. Shanghai Umeco Composites will be 51% owned by Umeco Composites with Umeco’s Chinese distributor, Shanghai Leadgo Technology, having a 49% stake. The joint venture’s new manufacturing facility is expected to be fully operational by the end of 2011.
