Taclobean Airport restrictions lifted

In advance of Pope Francis’ visit to the Philippines, the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines has lifted the aircraft restriction at the Tacloban Airport, which means A320-type aircraft will now be allowed at the airport.

The CAAP has restricted the airport to turboprops only in September following repairs to its runway after damage caused by super Typhoon Yolanda (Haiyan) in November 2013.
