Saudi Arabia’s General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) has launched its air mobility initiative in an effort to boost the nation’s air travel and cargo transport. The initiative – titled the ‘Enabling Advanced Air Transport in the Kingdom’ – is hoped to position Saudi Arabia as a leader in advanced air mobility in the Middle East through sustainable and state-of-the-art technologies such as unmanned aircraft systems and eVTOL aircraft. “We’re not just building a new mode of transportation; we’re creating the backbone for the next era of economic and social development in Saudi Arabia,” said GACA vice president of aviation
