The United States Department of Transportation (USDOT) Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has approved the International Aviation Safety Assessment (IASA) Category 1 rating for the Republic of Rwanda. The FAA thoroughly reviewed the Republic of Rwanda’s progress in improving its safety oversight process and concluded that it met the requirements for Category 1 status. With this status, the Republic of Rwanda can now serve the United States and enter into codeshare agreements with American carriers.
