Federal accident investigators have order Pinnacle Airlines, parent company of Colgan Air, to submit records regarding the qualifications of the pilots involved in the crash of Flight 3407 in 2009. The emails relating to these points were previously withheld by the airline. National Transportation Safety Board Chairman Deborah Hersman said in a statement that she was disappointed to learn that Pinnacle hadn’t provided the accident investigators internal emails relevant to the qualifications of Flight 3407’s captain. Pinnacle reiterated the fact that the captain was properly trained and qualified to fly the plane.
