The Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) has begun to re-assess the award of Air Operators Certificate (AOC) to about three airlines that were alleged to have been awarded without following due process raising safety concerns. An investigation into the NCAA process found that in some cases licences had been issued to airlines that own no aircraft and were still to commence operations.
