Lufthansa Technik has handed over a new Airbus A350 aircraft to the German military, the company announced on March 16. Named after the Federal Republic of Germany’s first president, Theodor Heuss, the jet is being transferred from Lufthansa Technik’s Hamburg base to Cologne-Wahn airport, where it will “officially put into political-parliamentary flight service by the German Airforce”. The aircraft is the second A350 to have a “full government cabin” installed by Lufthansa’s maintenance company.
