The Brazilian National Civil Aviation Agency (ANAC) has recently granted authorisation to Virgin Atlantic to operate direct flights from Brazil. The condition is that there should be direct flights between Sao Paulo and London. The airline is expected to commence operations on this route starting May 2024. Apart from Virgin Atlantic, ANAC granted permission to Arajet to fly in Brazil. The airline will operate three weekly flights from Santo Domingo to Guarulhos International Airport, in São Paulo.
