MUFG appoints new head of aviation asset management

Geraint Sampson has been appointed Director and Head of Aviation Asset Management within MUFG’s Global Aviation Finance Office, effective January 4. With over 30 years of experience in the aviation sector, Sampson has held positions at GE, Virgin Atlantic, Royal Aero, CIT, Avolon and, most recently, Boeing Capital, where he was Senior Manager – Powerplant, handling aircraft transitions and returns. Having started his aviation career as an apprentice with British Airways in 1988, Geraint’s long-standing expertise spans aircraft and engine management, including maintenance, airline, leasing and manufacturer.
