Chilean airline LAN and Brazil’s TAM have launched a new management structure ahead of the completion of the merger of the two airlines. The new holding company, LATAM Airlines Group, will be led by LAN’s chief executive, Enrique Cueto, while TAM’s deputy chairman, Mauricio Rolim Amaro, will become chairman of LATAM’s board of directors. TAM’s chief executive, Libano Barroso, will take over as the chief financial officer at LATAM. At the two airlines, Ignacio Cueto, currently the chief operating officer of LAN, will become the chief executive of LAN, while Marco Antonio Bologna will remain as chief executive of TAM.
