Inglis Lyon intends to step down as managing director of Highlands and Islands Airports (HIAL), the government-0wned company has announced. Inglis Lyon said he has “reached that time of life when it is time to pass the baton on and give someone the opportunity to hold the keys to what I consider to be the best job in the Highlands and Islands and take HIAL to the next level.” Lyon will depart the company, which is privately-run but owned by the devolved government in Scotland, in summer 2023.
