Former Bosch engineer Alexander Schmitz is to be GE Additive’s next chief executive, GE announced on December 15. Schmitz will report to Riccardo Procacci, who is moving from the GE Additive chief executive position to what GE said was an “expanded leadership role” at GE Aerospace. Schmitz, who was also chief executive of Flexlink, said he is “thrilled” to join GE Additive. Procacci said GE Additive is to remain “a strategic business” for GE Aerospace.
