Airbus has named Thomas Toepfer as its next chief financial officer (CFO). Toepfer will leave polymer supplier Covestro to join the French airframe manufacturer. Current CFO Dominik Asam will step down on March 1, with Xavier Tardy, executive vice-president finance for Airbus Defence and Space, filling in until Toepfer joins in September. “We are very pleased to have Thomas joining Airbus as CFO at this important time for the company.
