Tony Wood has joined the Airbus board of directors in a non-executive role, the manufacturer said on December 14. Wood, a board member at energy company National Grid, brings what Airbus said is “extensive experience of the aerospace industry and defence sector”. Wood is to take the place of Lord Paul Drayson, who resigned as Airbus held its 2022 annual general meeting. “We are pleased to welcome Tony to our Board. He brings a wealth of global industry experience with him and we look forward to working closely together,” said Airbus chairman René Obermann.
