Air India has appointed Jayaraj Shanmugan as head of global airport operations, effective as of April 15, 2024. He joins the airline from his previous position as chief operating officer at Bangalore Airport, where he led the operationalisation of the new Terminal 2, and will report to Air India’s chief operating officer Klaus Goersch. Before his time at Bangalore Airport, Shanmugan served as executive vice president of products and services at Jet Airways, before which he also worked as chief commercial officer and senior vice president of product and services.
