Staff at Rolls-Royce supplier to go on strike over pay

Aircraft engine maker Rolls-Royce could be hit by production delays as workers at Swedish supplier Trelleborg go on strike in May 2023. More than 200 people at Trelleborg’s Tewkesbury and Bridgewater operations are to down tools from May 2 to May 5 over what they described as ” a real terms pay cut”. The factories supply parts to aerospace, auto, medical, food and energy firms, including Rolls-Royce. The workers have rebuffed a 5.2% pay hike, saying it does not match what they and trade union Unite claim as the “true rate of inflation”, which they base on the UK government’s
