MTU Maintenance recently signed a seven-year extension of its CF6-80C2 contract with Atlas Air. The contract, which has been in effect for 15 years, includes maintenance, repair and overhaul coverage of over 200 engines powering Atlas Air’s B747 and B767 fleets, as well as engine trend monitoring. Additionally, MTU Maintenance is the exclusive service partner for Atlas Air subsidiary Southern Air, entire fleet of B777 cargo airplanes, powered by GE90-110B engines. The agreement runs for 12 years and includes full support, including lease engines.
