On July 28, all CFM56 MRO providers received a notice from CFM International informing them about certain falsified documents had been identified for certain CFM56 engine component parts. CFM noted that it had been recently contacted by an MRO provider regarding the authenticity of an EASA Form 1 document allegedly issued by Safran Aircraft Engines for a new CFM56 part. The MRO provider had received the document from AOG Technics Ltd. Following an immediate investigation, CFM confirmed that the EASA Form 1 in question “was not issued by Safran Aircraft Engines”.
