Aviation authorities in the United Arab Emirates yesterday denied that a bomb inside a parcel similar to those found at the end of last week caused a UPS cargo aircraft to crash last month. The UAE General Civil Aviation Authority (UAEGCAA) said the investigation of the wreckage and flight recorder of the UPS Boeing 747-400 that crashed in a desert on September 3 killing two of its pilots indicated no onboard explosion. The investigation is continuing focusing on the cause of a fire in the cockpit and loss of altitude.
