The director general of Civil Aviation in India (DGCA) has indicted Emirates Airline for failings on its Dubai-Kochi flight on April 25 which suffered severe air turbulence injuring 18 passengers and one crew member. An official report suggests the lack of prompt communication between the captain of the aircraft and the air traffic controller at Kochi resulted in the injuries. The airline officials have also bee accused of attempting to suppress information as they has originally only reported one passenger injured. An inquiry also found that flight officials failed to inform the passengers at the right time to use seat
