Nordic Aviation Capital (NAC) has delivered the first ATR 72-600 to Uzbekistan’s airline SilkAvia, the first new ATR aircraft ever delivered to Central Asia. The aircraft is part of an order of five new ATR 72-600s first announced in November 2022, with two to be provided by NAC and three directly by the manufacturer. SilkAvia (now a subsidiary of the Uzbekistan Airways Group) will integrate the aircraft into its existing ATR fleet. “SilkAvia… has set an ambitious goal to become a leader in air transportation on domestic routes of the country,” highlighted Uzbekistan Airways chairman of the board Shukhrat Khudaykulov,
