Dublin-based multinational lessor AerCap has awarded its Women in Aviation scholarship to two University of Limerick students, who will get a €5,000 a year bursary as part of the win. The winners were aeronautical engineering students Ailbhe Moloney and Éabha Sampson, both listed as from Cork. They are the 4th and 5th awardees of the scholarship, which was first granted three years ago and includes an internship with AerCap. AerCap’s chief executive Aengus Kelly said the aim of the award “is to encourage more female students into careers in aeronautical engineering and to develop a pipeline of highly skilled engineering
