AWAS has delivered the final of four planned new A320 passenger aircraft to VivaAerobus, purchasing the aircraft the airline had previously ordered from the manufacturer and then placing it with them on a long term lease. The delivery of this new A320s from a PLB deal agreed in 2015 is part of the on-going rollover of the VivaAerobus fleet into an all-A320 operator. The AWAS fleet at VivaAerobus, which includes a number of 737-300s being gradually phased out with AWAS’ assistance, now grows to six IAE-powered A320s.
