Air India has floated two tenders to lease a total of 57 aircraft. The carrier aims to lease 10 A330s, 10 A320s, 15 ATRs and 18 CRJ700s. This is in addition to the tender for lease of up to four Boeing 737-800s for its low-cost unit Air India Charters Ltd. The aircraft will be leased for a period of five years. Air India has received deliveries of 81 planes so far from the 111 it ordered. It includes all 43 planes ordered from Airbus and 38 from Boeing.
