UK-based airport technology provider AeroCloud has raised $12.6 million in Series A funding led by US fund Stage 2 Capital, with 12BF Global Ventures, Triple Point Ventures and Praetura Ventures also involved in the round along with Playfair Capital and Haatch. The latest funding takes AeroCloud to $16 million raised, money it said would “support a doubling down on the airport management software revolution”. Founded by former professional racing driver George Richardson and airport operations innovator Ian Forde-Smith. AeroCloud uses technology such as artificial intelligence and machine learning in tandem with hardware “to solve the complex challenges airports face daily”.
