Further to last week’s report on Centurion Air Cargo’s ongoing legal actions with fuel suppliers, the Miami-based freight carrier is now faced with further action from a group of five Irish statutory trusts. Florida media has reported that the group has filed a claim against the airline and its parent, SkyLease Cargo, over $10.2million in unpaid lease payments owed on five aircraft: one B747-400(F) and four MD-11(F)s. The plaintiffs are demanding Centurion return its aircraft, but the airline has steadfastly refused. The aircraft have an estimated value of $66.9million.
